Who this covers

This policy covers the Cuedrop Android application, including the Cuedrop Pro unlock, published by Drunken Unicorn Productions.

What we collect

Nothing. Cuedrop has no user accounts, no sign-in, no servers of our own that receive your content, and no analytics, crash-reporting, attribution or advertising SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no way to identify you.

What stays on your device

• Video and audio you record, including both microphone channels, saved to your gallery under Movies/Cuedrop
• Your scripts and script library
• Your settings — reading speed, type, camera and audio preferences
• Caption files (.srt) generated alongside a recording

None of this is transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes the app's own copies; anything you saved to your gallery stays until you delete it.

Permissions, and why

When Cuedrop uses the internet

Most of Cuedrop works entirely offline. These specific features reach the network, and we would rather list them plainly than claim more than is true.

Speech recognition (voice-follow)

Cuedrop asks Android for on-device speech recognition, which runs entirely on your phone and sends nothing anywhere. If your device has no on-device speech model available, Android's standard recognizer may process audio using Google's speech service instead. The app tells you which engine is running in the listening panel. If this matters to you, install an offline language pack in Settings › Voice input, and Cuedrop will use it.

Importing a script from a web address

If you load a script from a URL, Cuedrop requests that page. If the site refuses a direct request, the app retries through a public relay service (allorigins.win), which is not operated by us. In that case the web address you entered, the page's contents and your IP address pass through that third party. This only happens when you choose to import from a URL.

Optional components downloaded on first use

Some features fetch their software components from public code distribution networks the first time you use them, which reveals your IP address to those providers:

• Virtual backgrounds — from jsDelivr
• Word document (.docx) import — from unpkg
• Article text extraction for URL import — from unpkg

If you never use these features, these requests never happen.

Links out of the app

Cuedrop can open the Google Play store listing, and the DJI or RØDE companion apps when those devices are detected. Following a link hands you to that company, under their privacy policy, not ours.

Purchases

Cuedrop Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Google handles the payment and tells the app whether your Google account owns the unlock. We never see your card details, billing address or any payment information. Google's handling of that transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

Cuedrop is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect nothing, we hold no information about anyone of any age.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. Your recordings and scripts are yours, on your device, and you can delete them at any time. For the purchase record, contact Google Play.

Changes to this policy

If Cuedrop gains a feature that handles data differently, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
