Cuedrop records you for you. Everything the app makes — video, audio, scripts, subtitles — is written to your phone's own storage and goes nowhere else. Cuedrop has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It collects nothing.
What Cuedrop collects
Nothing. We never see your name, your email address, your recordings, your scripts, or anything about how you use the app. There is no account to create and nothing is ever uploaded to us or to anyone else.
Your camera and microphone
Cuedrop asks for camera and microphone permission because it is a camera and a recorder. The picture and sound go into the videos you make, saved on your device. When CueLock follows your voice, speech recognition runs entirely on your phone using Android's on-device recognizer — your voice is never sent to us or to anyone else. On phones without on-device recognition, CueLock is simply unavailable; Cuedrop never falls back to online speech processing.
Network access
Cuedrop touches the network in exactly two cases, both started by you:
- Fetching a script from a link you paste. The request goes directly to the address you provided and carries no information about you.
- Checking for updates, for copies installed outside Google Play. The check fetches a version file and sends no personal information. Copies installed from Google Play never perform this check — Play handles their updates.
Purchases
Cuedrop Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment and ties the purchase to your Google account; Cuedrop only ever asks Play "does this account own Cuedrop Pro?" and receives yes or no. We never see your payment details, your name, or your email address.
Your recordings
Videos, audio tracks, and subtitle files are saved to your phone's standard media folders, where they belong to you. Deleting the app does not delete them; deleting them is done in your gallery or file manager, and it is permanent. We could not access, recover, or delete them for you if we wanted to — we never had them.
Children
Cuedrop is a general-audience production tool and collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If a future version of Cuedrop ever collects anything — crash reporting, for example — this policy will say exactly what, why, and how to turn it off, before that version ships. Nothing of the kind is planned.
