Where it fits

The two-person podcast studio that fits in one phone.

Teleprompter apps are solo talking-head tools that neglect audio. Podcast recorders do multitrack but want two phones or a laptop. Cuedrop Pro is built for the gap between them.

What it actually does

  • Two people, two tracks — host and guest recorded on separate channels, on one device.
  • The mics you already own — plug in a RØDE, pair a DJI. No adapters-and-hope.
  • A prompter that respects the lens — short lines held inside the eye-contact cone.
  • Watch it back before it saves — keep, retake, or discard while the moment is still fresh.

Who it’s for

  • Two-person podcasts and interview shows recorded in the same room, on a phone.
  • Solo creators who care about real audio and are done with tinny phone-mic sound.
  • Coaches, marketers and social creators who want to look and sound professional in fewer takes.

Why it’s defensible: native USB and Bluetooth mic capture, and two-channel A/B recording, are things a browser-based competitor physically cannot do on a phone. That is a technical advantage, not a feature list.

The instrument

Audio is the hero, not a settings screen.

Both channels metered in real dBFS, in the record chrome, while you shoot. The green band is the target — land inside it and the edit is easy.

A · Host −14.2 dB
B · Guest −17.0 dB
−60−40−24−120

Aim between −18 and −12 dBFS. Channels are labelled A and B as well as coloured, so the reading survives sunlight, a screenshot, or colour-blindness.

Built on the research

The numbers the prompter is designed around.

±4°
Eye-contact cone

Script sits within four degrees of the lens — the window where a viewer still reads it as eye contact. Drift wider and you look checked out.

~34
Characters a line

Short enough to take in with one glance, so your eyes travel down rather than sweeping across and off the lens.

140
WPM · default

Speed set in words per minute, not an arbitrary 1–100 slider — the single most common complaint about every other prompter.
