How your app gets built.
One person leads it from the first question to the handover. Here's the method, the order it runs in, and what you keep.
I lead the build. AI works to my plan.
I build with AI the way an architect builds with a crew. I decide what gets built and for whom, draw the plan, direct every piece of work and check all of it before it reaches you. The AI writes code to that plan. It doesn't decide what your app is, and nothing it writes ships until I've reviewed it and tested it on a real phone.
What I lead
- Finding your one customer
- The scope, the design and the architecture
- The plan for every release
- Reviewing every change
- Testing on real iPhones and Android phones
- Security, store review and launch
- Standing behind it afterwards
What the AI does
- Writes code and tests to a written plan
- Does in minutes what used to take days
- Works from the design and the code, never from your customers' records
- Answers to my review, change by change
What protects you
- Every change versioned, reviewed and traceable
- Everything moved into your accounts at launch, with its full history
- Your customers' data never goes into the tools I build with
- One person accountable for every line
Why it's live in weeks
No handoffs
The person who plans it builds it. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a designer and a developer.
Decided first
Scope, screens and price are fixed in discovery, so the build never stalls waiting on a decision.
Fast where it's safe
AI turns a settled plan into working code quickly, so the time goes into decisions and testing.
Working early
Soon after kickoff you have a working build in your hands, then regular releases as it grows. No big reveal at the end.
The price is fixed before we start, so the speed is my risk, never your bill.
Six steps, always in this order.
Find the one customer
Before any design, we name the person the app is for and what they come to do.
Design the loop
The core screens and your app's brand, signed off before the build.
Build in small releases
A working build early on, then regular releases as it grows. No big reveal at the end.
Test on real phones
iPhone and Android, the way your customer will hold it.
Ship under your name
Your App Store and Google Play accounts, your listing, your customers.
Keep it running
Thirty days of fixes are included. After that, a care plan from $500 a month.
Understand the business first.
It starts with a free 20-minute call about your business. Tell me about your project below and I'll send you a link to book a time. Not sure you need an app at all? Ask yourself these ten questions first.
The momentfirst Assessment
$950 · fixed
A straight answer on what would help your business grow or run better, and whether an app is part of it. I look at your business the way a customer does, then we talk it through. You get a written report: what's working, the gaps in priority order, whether an app is right, the plainest structure that would do the job, and quick wins you can do this month without me.
It can end in "no app". If the tools you already have will do, the report says so. The report is yours to keep.
Discovery
$3,500 – $7,500 · one to two weeks
What you keep:
- A brief on your one customer and what they come to do
- A map of every screen
- A clickable prototype of the core loop, to try on your own phone
- A phased plan, and a straight answer on whether an off-the-shelf tool would do
- Three options with fixed prices
Need a board vote or a grant first? Discovery can end in a board- and funder-ready package: the plan, the budget and a one-page grant summary.
Setup and kickoff
You give me a company email and your business details, and I set up the rest. For an app on the stores, we spend one short session getting your business enrolled with Apple and Google. The build starts on the date we schedule together, and soon after kickoff you have a working build in your hands.
If you go ahead, nothing you've paid is lost. The assessment counts toward discovery, and discovery counts toward your build.
You can always walk away with everything.
I'm one person, and that's a fair thing to ask about. When the build is paid for, everything moves into your accounts, so the next developer would start from everything, not from nothing.
- Your code in your own repository at launch, with the full history of every change
- Store listings in your developer accounts from the start; hosting, database and domain moved into yours at launch
- Standard, widely used tools that any competent developer can pick up
- A written handover guide: how it's built, how to release an update, where every setting lives
- Your customers' data always yours, and exportable at any time
